The second account that came to my attention this week is one that will excite fans of a gentleman who is a wonderful actor. He has brought to life a number of memorable characters on our television screens from Gen. Jack O'Neil in the Stargate universe to the legendary MacGyver.
That's right, folks. Richard Dean Anderson has been assimilated into the Twitter collective, thanks, according to a story on his website, to the urging of his daughter who told him, “... it'll be so cool, Dad ...” Anderson wrote, “So 'cool' it must be.'"
He opened his account with this first message, “Hello in here. I have begun something I wasn't sure I would ever begin: TWEET! Anderson here?”
One other bit of news regarding him is that he has been signed to a recurring role on a new USA Network show called “Facing Kate” where he plays what is described as a mysterious character who enters the main character's life shortly after the death of her father. I'm going to be sure to give that show a try.
